"Load File Set" is a Bat Filer special that restores a Bat Filer file-list that has been saved using the "Save File Set" special.
To use Load File Set;
(1) Select a file-set file from a standard file dialog
(2) Files listed in the file-set file are automatically added to the Bat Filer file list. Follow the prompts to insert disks when needed.
(3) Load File Set restores files in VOLUME ORDER (i.e. first all the files from Volume 1, then those from Volume 2, etc.) When Load File Set begins to look for a certain volume, it checks to see if that volume is already mounted. If not, you are prompted to insert that disk; you also have the option to skip files on that volume, or abort loading files. You will never have to insert a volume more than once.
If Load File Set cannot find a file listed in the file-set (because it has been moved or deleted) a dialog box appears giving you options to Continue, to Skip the rest of the files on that volume, or to Abort loading files all together.
The files saved in a file-set can be in any number of folders, and on any number of volumes. Load File Set depends on VOLUME NAMES to locate files. If a volume referenced in a file-set file is renamed, Load File Set will be unable to find your files.
Load File Set tries to distinguish between volumes with the same name by saving the date and time of volume initialization along with the volume name. If you are prompted to insert a certain disk, but the disk is ejected when you insert it, you are probably inserting a disk that has the same name as the desired disk, but is not actually the desired disk.
